WI FEDERATION OF MUSEUMS ADD JARROD ROLL TO BOARD

 

Jarrod Roll, Director and County Historian of the Monroe County Local History Room & Museum in Sparta, has recently accepted a board position with the Wisconsin Federation of Museums.

 

The purpose of the Wisconsin Federation of Museums is to promote the value of and assets within Wisconsin museums, to strengthen professional standards and procedures, and to increase sustainability of institutional resources.

 

The Wisconsin Federation of Museums is governed by officers and a Board of Directors elected by the membership. Current

WFM Officers and Members include:

 

President: Jan Mirenda Smith, Executive Director/Curator, Bergstrom-Mahler Museum, Neenah

Vice President: Christine Cross, Director, New London Public Museum, New London

Secretary: Stephanie Saager-Bourret, Curator for the City of Platteville Museum Department, Platteville

Sharon Cybart, Manager of Public Relations and Marketing, Olbrich Botanical Gardens

Joanne Kluessendorf, Director, Weis Earth Science Museum, Menasha

Bridgitt Zielke, Independent Museum Program Consultant, Kohler

Jennifer Carlson, Senior Marketing and Development Specialist, Wisconsin Veterans Museum, Madison

Claudia Jacobson, Registrar, Milwaukee Public Museum, Milwaukee

Alan Westby, Museum Director, EAA AirVenture Museum, Oshkosh

 

Wisconsin Federation of Museums Membership is open to all museums professionals, volunteers, and those interested in pursuing a career in museums. WFM Member Institutions often participate in regional and statewide activities, such as the annual meeting, roundtables, workshops and lectures. The WFM will hold its 2011 Annual Meeting, "Museums Matter," on Monday, November 14, 2011, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, at the John Michael Kohler Art Center.
