  On Thursday, December 8th, from 6 to 9pm, Portage's Historic Indian A gency House hosts its annual holiday fundraising gala. Guests of “Christm as at the Kinzies” will enjoy a nostalgic night of good food, hearty dr ink, and excellent conversation. Musical entertainment will be provided b y local favorites, the Cheddar Chicks, six women singing a capella vers ions of your favorite traditional and contemporary holiday tunes.
  The evening’s Silent Auction will again offer a variety of memory-making experiences and unique items. The featured package is “Baraboo Behind th e Scenes,” which includes tours of the Circus World Museum archives (wh ere the popular book Water for Elephants was researched) and the meticulous ly restored House of Seven Gables, recently featured in the book Wisconsi n’s Own: Twenty Remarkable Houses. Other items include one-of-a-kind coll ectibles such as a vintage Winnebago basket and an assortment of Wedgwood a nd Staffordshire pieces. For a full listing of Silent Auction items, see below. Pre-bidding by phone is allowed, with reserve prices set on all au ction items.
  All proceeds from the event will assist in the continued preservation and o peration of the Historic Indian Agency House. Tickets are $25 per person ($ 20 for 2011 dues-paying members of the Agency House Supporters group) and a re available at the Portage Chamber of Commerce and the Mercantile on Main Street. You can also reserve your tickets by calling 742-6362, or buy the m at the door.
  The Historic Indian Agency House is located at the end of Rustic Road 69,
