 The Living Cemetery – Monday May 28, 2012 (Memorial Day) , 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the historic Evergreen Cemetery, 13th Street N.E., Menomonie Wisconsi n

Evergreen Cemetery Association, in partnership with the Dunn County Histori cal Society, the Dunn County Genealogical Society, and Menomonie Theatre Gu ild are preparing for the inaugural Living Cemetery program to be presented
 on Memorial Day, May 28, at Menomonie’s historic Evergreen Cemetery. Men and women important to the history of Dunn County, and who are interred
 at the cemetery, will be brought to life through the use of period-costume d First Person interpreters. Visitors will walk around the cemetery and hea r the interpreter’s stories…how those individuals and their families li ved in that time period, and what their important contributions were to the
 development of the county and west central Wisconsin. Early lumber barons
, soldiers, educators, farmers, and business people are some of the histori c characters who may be portrayed. Visitors may interact with the interpre ters by asking questions and conversing in a real time atmosphere. There is no admission charge…families with children are encouraged to att end. Off-site parking with shuttle transportation will be provided. Horse
 drawn wagons will be available for those who may prefer to ride from site to site within the cemetery. The 2012 Living Cemetery program is generously supported by a grant from th e Community Foundation of Dunn County. For more information, call the Dunn
