Calling all photographers! The National Historic Landmarks program has anno
unced its annual photo competition and will accept entries through Wednesda
y, June 13, 2012. For contest information, see http://www.flickr.com/groups
/2012nhlphotocontest. The subject of a photograph must be a National Histor
ic Landmark. National Historic Landmarks are our country's most exceptional
historic properties. These are nationally significant historic places desi
gnated by the Secretary of the Interior because they possess exceptional va
lue or quality in illustrating or interpreting the heritage of the United S
tates. Today, fewer than 2,500 historic places bear this national distincti
on. Find a list of Wisconsin’s 41 designated Landmarks here: http://www.n
