Sara - I suggest you contact Marietta Gribb at the Mt. Horeb Historical Soc iety, the curator of textiles. She has a wealth of knowledge on period cl othing and should be able to help. She can be reached at 608-437-6486, o r r mthorebmuseum@mhtc.net. Good luck with your project. Sounds interesting

We are in the process of planning a rededication of the Taylor

County Courthouse for Sept. 2014, when the courthouse will be 100 years

old.

We need resources for period clothing and patterns. Any

suggestions of where to borrow period clothing or websites for patterns?

We would like clothing to be from the era of 1914.

Do any other museums have clothing that they use for such an

occasion that they would be willing to lend us?

We are also considering holding a costume/clothing contest or

having a speaker that could talk about the clothing from 1914. Does anyone

know of a speaker or textile expert we could contact?

Thanks.
