Wild Rose Historical Society will hold a Walking Tour of 14 buildings
in Wild
Rose, Wisconsin on May 3, 2014 beginning at 10:00 AM. Patrick
Nehring who is a Community Agent from
the UW Extension Waushara County w
ill explain about tax credits for Historic
Homes as well as homes eligibl
e for the National Register of Historic
Places. Patrick will also desc
ribe the
style of architecture of the buildings. Pam Anderson of the W
ild Rose Historical Society will tell some of the
people who lived in the
homes and had businesses in the buildings. The buildings are mostly on
Main Street with
the house that Mr. William J Knights, co-founder of the
Gideons, lived it is
about a block away. People should meet at the Elisha
Stewart House which is
across the Street from Pioneer Pub.
