& We Would Like to Say THANK YOU for All You Have Done to Make It a Grea t One!

Join Us for this Year's "Harvest Gathering," in Celebration of Our Accomplishments and in Support of Our Future!

               

Portage’s Historic Indian

Agency House will host a “Harvest Gathering” on Saturday, October 18 from 4pm

to 7pm. This event is to both a

celebration of much-appreciated community support and camaraderie, and a

relaxed and casual fundraiser. This

family-friendly event will feature bluegrass music by Sauk-Prairie’s JS

Trippers (back by popular demand), craft beer and apple cider and a fall feast

of chili, cornbread, sloppy joes and a variety of desserts.

 

In addition, a “General

Store” of donated items will be set up in the Gift Shop area, with 100%
 of the

proceeds applied to future educational programming and operations expenses.

Start your Christmas shopping early! Several generous businesses, entrepr eneurs

and individuals contributed items that will be for sale that afternoon, i ncluding,

but certainly not limited to, Amish-made pies and breads, locally produ ced

coffee, popcorn, maple syrup, cheese and wine, crocheted bags, ha ts and

scarves, and Wisconsin-themed books.

 

There is also a unique

Silent Auction offering, entitled “Mineral Point Mini-Vacation.” This
 package

includes a one-night stay at The Historic Cothren House (a popular Mineral

Point bed-and-breakfast), two tickets to the Orchard Lawn historical attr action

and a Mineral Point self-guided walking tour book. (A wonderful gift for th at

special couple in your life, or perhaps as a mother-daughter getaway?)

 

The admissions cost is only

$12 for adults (and includes musical entertainment and all refreshments),
 with

children 12 and under admitted free of charge. Reservations are appreciated
,
