________________________________ Position Announcement Ephraim Historical Foundation Marketing and Volunteer Director

Position Overview: The Ephraim Historical Foundation (EHF) seeks a person with marketing experience to promote the Foundation’s mission of historic preservation. The director is responsible for all the Foundation’s marketing efforts, including print materials (brochures, posters, press release, etc.), online presence (website, social networking, etc.), and developing new and innovative marketing ideas. The director also is responsible for working and coordinating with volunteers who lead the organization’s outreach programs. Programs include children and family programs, tours, bus groups, and local school programs. The director is expected to provide support, organization, and guidance to ensure the programs’ success. Additional tasks may be assigned, depending on the needs of the Foundation.

The director reports to the Executive Director of the Ephraim Historical Foundation. Employment is At-Will and reviewed annually.

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

• Strong writing and editing skills

• Proficiency with standard PC computer software and capacity for learning new software (proficiency with Photoshop and web-design programs is a plus)

• Interest in local history

• Ability and willingness to learn new skills and be flexible

• Self-directed

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university

Schedule: Begin as soon as possible. Full-time. Some night and weekend hours required for programs during peak-season (April – September). Flexible off-peak schedule (beginning October 2015) to compensate for peak-season requirements.

Compensation: Salaried position. Amount depends on preparation and experience. EHF will provide contributions to a healthcare savings account. After a probationary period, position is eligible for additional available benefits, including pension funding and paid leave.
