Sara,
Is this a paid position? if so you have a employee-employer
relationship and that means you will have to withhold income tax and
provide a 1040.
I am a contract employee of the Historical Society, I work 20 hours a
week. The Historical Society pays me once a month and I get a 1099 at
the end of the
year. Our lawyer advised strongly against creating an official detailed
job description as to avoid the appearance of an employee-employer
relationship. My official
job description is a one page general description of my overall general
duties and the yearly compensation which is a contract that is renewed
each year at the Annual meeting.
I can send you a copy if you would like to see it.

Our museum is looking to create an updated job description for our
museum curator/staff person.
The museum is a small museum located in central Wisconsin. The staff
person will not only be doing curator duties but also other office
duties. Because the museum is a smaller one, the person will nee
d to be
able to do many varied tasks. We need to update the job description t
o
also include using a computer. Because the staff hasn't changed for
long time, the job description is in real need of being updated. The
position is for limited hours of two days a week.
If you could share job descriptions that you think may fit with what we
need, we would appreciate it. Or if you have a job description that y
ou
think we can use parts of to create our job description, please also
share those.
Thank you.
