We're looking for a summer education intern!
Washington County Historical Society, Inc. is excited to announce a summer
museum education internship open to high school seniors, and college freshm
en and sophomores.
This internship gives budding museum professionals a taste of giving tours
and developing programs, as well as learning how museums work behind the sc
enes.
Experiences will include:
* interpretation (leading tours and working with visitors)
* developing both a youth and an adult program from start to finish
* working with social media
* setting-up and staffing special events
* and more
This is an excellent opportunity for students considering future employment
in a museum, historical society, gallery, historical site, or any location
that offers public educational programming.
This intern will receive a stipend from the Kreilkamp Internship Fund.
This 12-week internship begins on May 27, 2015 and ends on August 21, 2015.
The dates are somewhat flexible for the right candidate.
Deadline is 5:00pm Friday, April 10, 2015.
