Quick thought (though I am also very interested to hear other input): I jus
t heard this weekend at the annual WHS conference that UW-Extensions have s
taff that will offer guidance on strategic planning, at little or no cost!
I am not sure who you contact for more information, and perhaps I misunders
tood.
But I put it down in my session notes and highlighted the tidbit, because i
t sounded like an awesome opportunity!
Best,

The Friends of the Mitchell Gallery of Flight is a non-profit organization
established to support a small museum opened in 1988 within the passenger t
erminal at Milwaukee's Gen. Mitchell International Airport. Our board has a
pproved hiring an outside consultant to help us establish a 5-year strategi
c plan that includes and prioritizes steps to further develop and sustain t
he organization.
We would like to hear from other affiliates who have sought similar service
s from consultants who are experienced in working with small museums/galler
ies. Additionally, any specific leads for the names of likely consultants w
ould be very helpful.
