Food/a restaurant gift certificate is always good for a volunteer. However, I would recommend at least a $25 certificate. See if you can get a local restaurant or your Chamber (with its bucks) to donate rather than your society having to pay for it. Recognize the donor in your next newsletter so there's something in it for the restaurant or Chamber.
