The Stone Lake Area Historical Society Museum Complex is open from Memorial Day – the first Sat. in Oct. Fri – Sun. 12
– 4:00. We have a list of approx. 50 Greeters who are placed on a schedule for each three day week-end. All of our greeters are volunteers and we have no paid staff. We did a Night at the Museum early in June and invited all Greeters for a training session and wine social. Everyone was given their personal copy of our new Greeters Guide which gives them a detailed guide to opening and closing the museum and takes them on tour of the exhibits in each room. It also includes how to complete the new member, accession, family history and request for newsletter forms which our helpful to our guests. In previous years, we have had a fall thank you wine social for all of our volunteers. Connie Schield President

Doing a survey to see what other Museums are doing that have Curators/Guides. Looking for answers to the following questions.

What hours are your Museums open?

Do the same people work all day, or do you have split shifts?

How often does 1 person work in a week (days in a week)?

Are you paid or is it a volunteer position?

If you are paid, what type of compensation do you receive?

Any other information you might have that would be helpful would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Cathi Malke

President, Peshtigo Historical Society
