Library of America. Since joining DPLA in August 2016, we've contributed mo
re than 470,000 metadata records from dozens of Wisconsin libraries, archiv
es, museums and historical societies to this nationwide digital collection.

llection-level descriptions of 35 audiovisual collections from 25 libraries
, archives and museums documenting Wisconsin residents’ experiences of Wo
rld War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Persian Gu
lf War.
We also have three two-page handouts available for anyone to download, use
and share as they plan an oral history project:

IMLS Grant: Curating Community Digital Collections
WiLS receives grant to support digital stewardship projects
WiLS, the project manager for the Recollection Wisconsin program, has been
awarded a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) La
ura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program. WiLS and Recollection Wisconsin wi
ll partner with the UW-Madison Information School and UW-Milwaukee School o
f Information Studies to provide library school students with practical exp
erience in digital stewardship through summer fieldwork positions at small
libraries and cultural heritage organizations.
