Subject: New Berlin Annual Meeting with Speaker

The New Berlin Historical Society will host a book presentation and signing by Wisconsin author and Wisconsin State Historian Emeritus, Michael Stevens. This will be in conjunction with our Annual Meeting. The event will be at the New Berlin Library Community Room, 15105 Library Lane on Monday, Nov. 18th. The meeting starts at 6:30 pm and the presentation begins at 7pm. Michael Stevens book, "The Making of Pioneer Wisconsin: Voices of Early Settlers" gives a glimpse into the lives of the people who settled in Wisconsin from the mid-1830s through the 1850s. These people recorded their experiences in letters, diaries and newspaper articles revealing their fears and hopes in this new place. This presentation of first person accounts will help us better empathize with these pioneers. Please join us. This is free and open to the public with light refreshments served. See attached flyer.
