The New Berlin Historical Society will be holding its annual Applefest /
Beer Garden on Sunday, October 2nd from1pm-4pm at the Historical Park,
19765 W. National Avenue.
Fun things for kids to do include cranking the corn sheller, grinding and
pressing apples for cider, riding the barrel train through the apple
orchard, petting miniature horses. Everyone will enjoy listening to the
Band Wagon's "Happy Music", touring the pioneer homes, school and church.
Beer will be from award winning City Lights Brewing Co. Some of the beers
available will be Hazy IPA, Oktoberfest, Strawberry Dragon Fruit Hard
Seltzer on draft along with cans of Pub Stout and Coconut Porter.
At the Museum you will see the Cornfalfa Farms exhibit, a Country Store and
Post Office, Volunteer Fire Dept, Police, and Military history exhibits.
Apples from the Weston Antique Apple Orchard will be available for sale
along with honey from Hemken Honey Co.
If you get hungry, visit the Food Gazebo for Sloppy Joes, Hot Dogs,
beverages and homemade desserts.
