The Recollection Wisconsin Steering Committee is seeking nominations to
fill four seats. The Committee helps shape the priorities and future
directions of the Recollection Wisconsin statewide digital consortium.
The Committee is made up of librarians, archivists, curators, educators,
and other digital practitioners representing a broad range of cultural
heritage institutions throughout Wisconsin. It is an excellent opportunity
to connect with others in a wide variety of Wisconsin organizations, large
and small, who are creating and tending to digital collections.
It’s also a great way to connect into state, regional, and national
digital collections communities of practice, including others working with
and for the Digital Public Library of America.
We are especially
interested in adding more representatives from public library systems,
local history organizations, and representatives from institutions in the
central and northern parts of the state.
We strongly encourage the
nomination of candidates who, through work on the Committee, can contribute
to the diversity of perspectives and content in Recollection Wisconsin so
that all residents can see their stories represented within the collection.
New committee members will serve three-year terms beginning in March 2023
. The Committee meets virtually three times a year – in January,
April, and June – and once in person for a joint meeting with the
Recollection Wisconsin Governing Board in September or October.
To submit a nomination, please use this form. Nominations will be accepted
through December 31, 2022. All nominations will be reviewed by the current
members of the Steering Committee in January 2023.
Please contact Recollection Wisconsin at info@recollectionwisconsin.org
with any questions.
