Hi, If you have a newer smartphone, experiment using that. I have a Samsung
 phone that does a great job on larger photos and newspaper. I used some car dboard to make a scanning stand for the phone and lay the item to be scanned
 on the table. If there was a problem with focusing the camera phone, I used
 books to prop the cardboard up higher. Otherwise look up "page scanner" on A mazon, and read the reviews. B Schneider
