Subject: Formation of Positive Efforts ~ Peaceful Solutions
Dear Friends,
Today I am announcing the formation of a new peace group in the Western
Wisconsin region. It is Positive Efforts ~ Peaceful Solutions, a PEACE
VISIBILITIY GROUP. In starting this group, I am expressing my continued
committment to working for peaceful solutions and non-violence, and
propose to continue to work together with the Eau Claire Peace
Coalition, Women In Black, Military Families Speak Out, and other area
groups. It just seemed that there could be even more done, and with
perhaps a different focus than other groups are currently working on.
It is burning within me to try to INSPIRE-EDUCATE and EMPOWER
individuals to become more involved, particularly with the current Iraq
War.
The first effort of PEPS is to begin PEACE VISIBILITY SESSIONS on
Bracket and Hwy 53 every Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. (or later if
you come late and want to stay!) I will bring a number of informative
hand-outs, and extra signs. Additionally we will be posting signs that
ask people to join us, stop by and find the truth about Iraq-THINK. If
I can figure out the logistics, I will even bring my big lighted
hula-hoop peace sign to attract attention!
