That's not entirely true. I have a corporate card because I like to keep
business/play separate. They're encouraging use of the corporate card
for lodging/rental cars/airfare. Just those three. Your own credit card
or cash or check or corporate card can still be used for meals, etc.
There is an additional option of using a procurement card for items as
well. We have one in our office that we use for conference
registrations, etc.

I believe that 'business travel' now requires three separate cards: one
for lodging, one for meals and a third for conference registration.

I'm also troubled by the new travel regulations. Not only do we have to
use that special card, but we have to go through only contracted travel
agencies. Forget about supporting your local travel agent. And forget
about comparison shopping for rates, even if you are paying for the
lion's share of your travel out of your own pocket.
