Greetings, Colleagues:

If you are interested in keeping up with the Eau Claire Progressive Film Festival, as the program starts to take shape, in the lead-up to the festival run from Friday April 28 through Sunday May 7, you can check out our website (in progress):

  http://www.uwec.edu/english/ecpff/

We will conduct 20 screening and discussion sessions over the course of this eight-day period, and we likely will host a number of visiting film makers, and other guests with expertise on the films, and/or the issues focused on in the films, during that week as well
(And we will sponsor a range of other, related events yet to be announced). All films will screen on campus. Keep a watch out for our upcoming posters, buttons, and t-shirts (as well as, potentially, other promotional items as well).

  Best,

  Bob Nowlan

P.S.: If you are interested in making a donation to support the efforts of the Eau Claire Progressive Film Festival, you can send a
(tax-deductible) check to the UWEC Foundation with a note indicating that you would like this donation to support the Eau Claire Progressive Film Festival and be transferred to our account, the English Department Advancement Fund. We will greatly appreciate any and all support we can get; the more money we raise the more guests we can bring to campus and host for visits here. Right now most of the money we have raised so far will go to cover the cost of paying for public performance rights permission for the films we will screen as part of the festival, as well as for covering the cost of our work involved in contacting distributors and film makers and in putting out publicity.
P.P.S.: For your information, below is the schedule of rooms and times for screenings, as well as the names of those working on the Festival:
