Dear friends, colleagues and geographers,
It is a privilege for the Geography Seminar Series two host a pair of
great talks open to the campus and community.
Wednesday's is very relevant for Western Wisconsin, especially in the
context of the immigration debate that is stirring the country -- with
innovation and compassion, hear how the issue is being played out down
on the farm.
Friday's presentation is with one of the 2005 James Beard Foundation
Award winners -- for a book on Scandinavian baking. Often called "the
Oscars of the food world," the annual James Beard Foundation Awards
<http://www.jamesbeard.org/awards/2002/categories.php> honors the
finest chefs, restaurants, journalists, cookbook authors, restaurant
designers, and electronic media professionals in the country. See

Please feel free to post or distribute.
Sorry for the inevitable cross-postings.
