Arlington Midwest Iraq War Memorial to be Assembled Again
The memorial in Lake Delton that honors Wisconsin and Illinois soldiers
killed in Iraq will be assembled once again for the summer on Memorial Day,
Monday, May 29.
Anyone interested in working on the site is invited to come at 10 a.m.
Participants are asked to bring shovels, rakes or other tools. There will b
e
a brief opening ceremony at 11:00 a.m. followed by a pot luck lunch for
everyone. Participants should bring a dish to pass and their own plates and
beverage.
The memorial is on the corner of South Burritt Ave. and West Delavan St. in
Lake Delton, a block behind Phillips gas station on West Munroe St. (Rte
23), down the road from Wal-Mart.
