Wednesday, June 7, is the National Call-In Day to ask Congress for an
open debate on Iraq. Urge your congressman to support HR-543, a
'discharge petition' calling for immediate debate and consideration of
ALL alternatives to the policy of open-ended occupation of Iraq.
Ron Kind is the ONLY Wisconsin Democrat in the House who has NOT signed
the discharge petition. Please contact Ron Kind on Wednesday and ask
him to join Tammy Baldwin, Gwen Moore and David Obey in supporting
HR-543! You might even ask him why he chooses to remain in the same
camp as Jim Sensenbrenner and Mark Green!
Ron Kind can be reached at 715/831-9214 (Eau Claire), 202/225-5506
(Washington) or 608/782-2558 (La Crosse). He can also be contacted by
email at http://www.house.gov/kind/contact.shtml.
The national call-in day is sponsored by United for Peace and Justice
(http://www.unitedforpeace.org) with support from
