Eau Claire's Shortest Sidewalk Parade Kicks Off St. Patrick's Day Funraiser
Eau Claire, WI - March 17,2007 - The 1st Annual St. Patrick's Day Fundraise
r for WHYS Radio, begins at 12:45pm with a sidewalk parade recognizing the
Irish heritage in Eau Claire. Parade walkers are encouraged to carry a sign
boasting their Irish family name or ancestry. This short parade will start
at the Kappus Building, 405 S. Farwell St. and march to the Acoustic Caf
é.
Following the parade, there will be an afternoon of music and fun at the Ac
oustic Cafe.
The performance schedule includes:
1:00-1:30pm St. Paddy's Day sidewalk parade
1:30-2:00pm Demolition Darby (traditional & modern Irish pub tunes)
2:00-2:30pm Bruce O'Brien, Songster and Tunesmith (Traditional Irish songs
and tunes)
2:30-3:00pm Traditional Irish/Klezmer Accordion Music
3:00-3:30pm Colleen Bruce, Celtic Harp player (Traditional Irish and Scotti
sh tunes)
3:30-4:30pm The Barnyard Banshees ( Celtic dance tunes, waltzes, old-timey
fiddle music)
Come dressed in green or as a leprechaun or elf and be ready to sing, dance
, joke and recite limericks
