Day of Forgiveness is a week from tonight (Tuesday 9/11) at Phoenix Park at
6:30pm to 8pm. We have a wonderful program, including short (1 minute) m
essages from various faiths, henna peace tattoos, breads from around the wo
rld, origami peace cranes, luminaries to be lit in the path of the labyrint
h at the park, art projects, healing stones, and (optional) Laying of the H
ands Healing Touch for anyone who wishes it after the ceremony, drumming, s
inging (optional), and more.
Mike Boehm, a Madison Vietnam Vet who has been involved in returning to Vie
tnam and creating the MyLai Peace Park will speak on forgiveness.
I hope you can attend this positive, healing event and bring at least one f
riend. We are getting coverage in both Volume One and the Leader Telegram.
Many churches are also "on the bandwagon" with this, and there is a pries
t speaking, a minister, the head of the local Mosque and more to be confirm
ed.
All ages and faiths will be welcome. Network of Spiritual Progressives wil
l have a sign up table and information on joining the national organization
.
