Buses returning university students to school after the weekend break was targeted by armed gunman early this morning near Mosul, Iraq. There were two buses, and one managed to escape amidst gunfire, it is reported this morning by the BBC.
The other bus with 42 students on board was taken by the gunmen, but there are early reports that they may have already been released, althought the BBC has not yet been able to confirm those reports.
