Three years ago we joined in a fund raising effort with our local
library to build a new building. A replacement for the library and a
new museum. The best thing we did was find a professional grant
writer who was familiar raising funds in the local area and paid him
to do the fund raising. It was well worth the money to hire someone
who knew how to do it. We also got the president of the local bank to
run the local fund raising effort.
