A Unique Holiday Shopping Experience Awaits

Looking for that really special gift? Look no further than the Washington County Historical Society's "Christmastime at the Old Courthouse Museum. This festive gift and music filled event is Friday, December 4 through Sunday, December 6 at the Old Courthouse Museum.

Gifts galore abound at the Silent auction that opens Friday December 4, at 6:00p.m. Auction items include hand-made quilts, framed historic photographs, wine gift baskets, Waterford Crystal, Collectibles, Children's items, Green Bay Packer tickets, and more. While deciding on your bid, enjoy the festive music presented by the Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School Percussion Ensemble and the Show Choir, "The Echoes."

The holiday festivities continue with a Historic Holiday Tour featuring historic locations in Downtown West Bend. This unique event is presented at 12:00p.m. to 3:30p.m. and is only $8 per person. Unlike the "traditional" holiday home tour, this is a one time opportunity to discover interesting area history. The tour includes a booklet and complimentary bus service courtesy of Johnson School Bus. The silent auction will be open for bids.

Christmas fun continues on Sunday, December 6 with a performance of holiday classics by "Selah Strings." This local string trio is sure to put everyone in the festive spirit. This is also your chance to purchase hand made bakery, candy, and snacks at the Christmas bake sale, and make your winning bid at the silent auction. Silent auction and Holiday Raffle ticket will be drawn. Sunday's event takes place from 12:00p.m. to 4:00p.m.

Holiday Raffle tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Jeff's Spirits on Main, M & I Bank, downtown West Bend, and the south branch of Glacier Hills Credit Union. Tickets will be on sale during the three-day event at the Old Courthouse Museum. Don't miss your chance to be the grand prize winner and walk away with $2,500 cash! Complimentary refreshments will be available all three days.

For more information about Christmastime at the Old Courthouse Museum, please call the Washington County Historical Society at 262-335-4678. This event is the society's biggest fundraiser. All proceeds benefit the Society's museums, educational programming, activities, and events.
