After spending years as a multi-family dwelling, you can visit the Allyn

family’s first “city” residence in Delavan. This building has been lo vingly

renovated and restored back to its former glory by owner John

Cangelosi. This is the first ever tour of this home believed to be designed

by E. Townsend Mix

The Allyn Mansion

511 E. Walworth Avenue, Delavan

The Allyn Mansion was magnificently restored by Ron Markwell

and Joe Johnson. Their attention to detail and splendid restoration

has landed this E. Townsend Mix designed home on the

National Register of Historic Places, and graces the cover of the

soon-to-be-released book Wisconsin’s Own: Twenty Remarkable

Homes.
