e as a guardian of a person, estate, or previous experience as a treasurer
or accounting experience. The only exception might be someone who is an acc

That seems like a VERY bad idea to me. The tre
asurer needs to be accountable to the board, and should be at meetings when
ever possible to deal with financial
issues and answer funds availabilit
y questions. If you want this person as treasurer, they will also be an
asset to the board. Invite them to join, and if necessary pay their dues
(if that is the issue). Otherwise, avoid it like a hot potato, and elec
t
someone from the board to treasurer.
