The gravestone cleaner you mention is called "D/2." It's a safe, effective
way of cleaning gravestones used by professionals everywhere. You can buy
it through Save Your Stones, a West Salem, WI, company authorized to sell 4
oz spray bottles of D/2 (enough for 1-2 gravestones) for $5.95. It's also
available by the gallon through Cathedral Stone (I believe it's around $55
with shipping). Save Your Stones also sells a complete Gravestone Cleaning
Kit for $19.95.
You can order directly from Save Your Stones at: saveyourstones@gmail.com
or 608-317-7562. You can also visit http://www.mclhr.org/giftshop.php to
learn more about D/2 and the Gravestone Cleaning Kit, as the Monroe County
Local History Room is an outlet for Save Your Stones products.
Hope this helps.

I thought I would pass along this information about a possible cleaner for
headstones. I have not used this and am not sure how truly safe it is, but
you might want to contact some of the organizations shown on the site and
talk to them.

A local church has requested that our historical society help them clean the
tombstones in their cemetery. I have a number of how-to-do articles in my
file but I seem to remember that sometime in the last year there was a link
on listserve to a CD pertaining to the subject. Can anyone help me out?
