Job Duties Visitor Services Duties:
• Support Education Specialist in maintaining master tour calend ar
• Process telephone and in person group tour inquiries
• Compile and distribute each day's scheduled activities into a weekly calendar
• Participate in and oversee entering of registrations into TM V ISTA software
• Design and produce reports as assigned, using VISTA data manag ement and Crystal Reports 8.5
• Collect tour fees, issue receipt if applicable, record tour re venue in database, oversee bank deposits and provide Museum Director with w eekly revenue update
• Develop new marketing strategies with Education Specialist per taining to groups who do not visit the museum
• With Education Specialist schedule staff to assist in the foll ow administrative tasks:
• Packaging and mailing of educator confirmation packets
• Postcard reminders to Legislative and Representative aids
• Sorry We Missed You group postcard mailings
• Marketing strategies as assigned
• Assist working with Education Specialist and program partners such as the WI Veteran’s Museum, Madison Children’s Museum and the Stat e Capitol in providing a streamline registration processes for educators
• Assist Education Specialist in the tabulation and recording of
 Student Hours and guided tours provided by volunteers and staff for report ing purposes

Tour Registration Duties:
• Support Education Specialist in maintaining master tour calend ar.
• Process telephone and in person group tour registrations as ne eded.
• Process registrations into TM VISTA software and package outgo ing teacher correspondence.
• Collect tour fees, issue receipt if applicable.
• Compile and distribute each day's scheduled activities into a weekly calendar and record tour revenue in database, administer bank deposi ts and provide Museum Director with weekly revenue update.
• Assist Education Specialist in the tabulation and recording of
 student hours and guided tours provided by volunteers and staff for report ing purposes.

Education Program Support Duties:
• Implement WHM group visit policies and procedures
• Work with Education Specialist in scheduling Society wide educ ational programming
• Assist in developing and scheduling educational, community bas ed programs both internally and externally (outreach) to reach different au dience groups as assigned by Education Specialist.
• Example: Scout workshops, Retirement Community Off-site progra ms
• Attend Museum division meetings

Special Notes:

 1. A criminal background check will be conducted prior to an offer of emp loyment to determine if the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Education, history background, or equivalent work experience is
 preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Excellent at multitasking and being a team player
• Outgoing, friendly personality
• Ability to work independently
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to walk up four flights of stairs and stand for over an
 hour in length
• Ability to be on time and well organized
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast paced e nvironment
