Janet,

You and I talked in May about the Wisconsin Pottery Association Annual Show
& Sale, scheduled for August 26, 2012, at the Exhibition Hall of the Allia nt Energy Center, 9 am – 4 pm. As a member of the Wisconsin Historical S ociety, we are interested in inviting WHS members and any interested partie s to attend this year’s show.

The topic of this year’s show is Wisconsin Stoneware, 1850 – 1900, and features a wide selection of salt glazed stoneware crocks, cream pots, jug and bottles adorned with floral decorations and interesting stamps or signa tures. Because of the narrow window of production, stoneware that can be t raced to Wisconsin potters is relatively rare and is sure to be an appeal f or those interested in Wisconsin history.

As a thank you to the Wisconsin Historical Society, WPA would like to offer
free admission ($6 value) to the first 5 people who contact me with their name, address and phone number via email by Friday, 8/25/12 (name, address and phone number via email by Friday, 8/25/12 (hshahlen@tds.n et<mailto:hshahlen@tds.net>). The parking fee of $6 will also be waived wi th a copy of this year’s show card and will be provided to those first 5 people. In fact, anyone attending the show and sale can print a copy of th e WPA Show Card from the organization’s website for free parking (www.wis consinpottery.org<http://www.wisconsinpottery.org/>).

Thank you for your assistance,

Heidi Hahlen, Secretary Wisconsin Pottery Association
