DCHS has decided to shift its *Annual Meeting* to take place in the Spring
on *Sunday, May 20th from 1:30-4:30pm at the Goodman Community Center in
Room BolzA located at 149 Waubesa Street, Madison, WI 53704*. We will hold
our business meeting at that time with updates and plans for 2018, conduct
board member elections to fill open positions for the Treasurer and 3 seats
for Board Members at large, and have a special guest, *Susan Apps-Bodilly
who will discuss her book "One Room Schools: Stories from the Days of 1
Room, 1 Teacher, 8 Grades"*, followed by a conversation on memories of one
room schools!
We are delighted to invite those who attend the meeting to share their
memories of one room schools and the role that they played in their lives.
Memories can also be shared from family members who taught in or attended
the schools. Some of these stories may be featured in upcoming newsletters!
