The Eagle River Historical Society currently offers 6 giving levels.

Individual. $20 Family. $30 Business. $50

History Lover Levels Supporter. $100 Patron. $500 President’s Circle. $1,000

Last year we did a cold mass mailings using tax roll information. We increa sed membership by 60% and due revenue by a factor of 10.

We abandoned life memberships a couple years ago and use them solely for maj or gift recognition.

We will focus on retention this year with a small number of new acquisition l etters using addresses from events and our online contacts

port, We increased our individual from $8.00 to $10.00 and took out sustaini ng, which was $17.00 and added family for $15.00 and bumped up our life memb ership from $150.00 to $500.00. Several years after that that we dropped the
family level and decided to go with what you see now. We are finding that t he Bronze level has been a popular choice for couples and individuals to cho ose when either joining or sending in their renewals.

The current dues are $6.00 for individual members. We have some other cat egories of members as well, but mainly it is the individual dues we want to a ddress. What do other societies charge for member dues? If we do decide to
recommend a change in our dues, we will be presenting a proposal to our mem bers at our annual meeting on November 12th for their approval or disapprova l.
