Rethos is a MN-based historic preservation organization, but also works in
WI communities and border communities, including the Twin Ports.
Rethos is partnering with the WHS and Tax Credit program to share the WI ta
x credit info more widely. So, this will be specific to Wisconsin's program
.

Join Jen Davel from the Wisconsin State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO)
as we delve into topics relating to historic preservation in Superior and
the 25% tax credit available
to all eligible repair and restoration projects on certified historic resid
ential properties in Wisconsin. Jen will explain what makes a project and p
roperty eligible for the program and will guide us step-by-step through the
online application process.
Jen Davel currently serves as the Deputy State Historic Preservation Office
r at the Wisconsin Historical Society; she has previously served as a prese
rvation architect here
for the past 10 years. During this time, she was responsible for certifying
commercial and residential tax credit projects for conformance with the Se
cretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. After studying ar
chitecture at the University of Minnesota,
she went on to receive her Master's in Architecture degree with a Certifica
te in Historic Preservation from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in
2001.
